4th of July Felt Wreath

This is a popular 4th of July wreath I made last year from this blog's tutorial here.

The tutorial is super easy with amazing results. Here is my finished wreath.

In her tutorial, she used labels to the stars. I just used some scrap white paper and glued them together.

I have a decorative glass window in my front door and needed a way to cover the back of my wreath so the green foam would not show through. I started to pin the back as the front, but my wreath would not fit in the wreath holder with that much material so instead I laid my squares flat with the wreath and pinned in place. It was much quicker to do it this way and I think it turned out nicely.

"So Adorable" layout

Okay, last post for today. You ever have those pictures that are so cute that you put off scrapbooking them because your afraid of ruining it? No....well, I do. I finally decided to get these photos done and am glad I did. I cut the title from my cricut and also some circles that I cut for the banner. The banner really was the painstaking part, but I think it turned out cute anyways.

Winter

I was flipping through some of my scrapbook magazines and found some inspiration for this winter layout. I printed my journaling on vellum and tied everything together with some stitching. The glitter embellishments I found from a Christmas card sent to me by some friends. I just love it when I reuse stuff! I'm pretty sure those came from Stampin' Up because she is a SU consultant. :) Hope you are inspired today.

"Daddy's Boys" layout

This was a simple and quick layout to put together and I always love those. The title came from my handy dandy cricut (sorry, been watching too many Blue's Clues with my kids). Hope you enjoy!

My Boy scrapbook page

This is a really fun and bright layout of my boy #2 having a great time swimming. I have no little girls so I always have the urge to have something feminine. I worked a little orange flower into this layout without it appearing too girly.

Brother Layout

This is a fun brothers layout I made of my boys. I used Papertrey Ink's banner builder's die for the brothers title. I was able to use a lot of my misc. embellishments and paper for this layout which I always just love! A tip that I learned from a girlfriend of mine that I have been using for a few years now is to do extra journaling or record who made the page and date on the back of the layout. I have started including pictures on the back that I don't use on the front of my layouts also. It is a very casual thing. I record thoughts or feelings about the pics or that day, where the picture was taken, who is in the pictures, ect. It is an easy way to record more information about the event without the pressure of journaling it in a cute or nice way for everyone to see. I like to think that one day my boys will find it and be surprised to find some extra notes from their mom.

Mommy's Little Helper layout

I have had these sweet pictures of my son #3 helping me for some time now. I have finally put them into a layout that I just love. I even used a vintage elastic label that I picked up at an estate sale years ago.  I used a Stampin Up punch for the backing on the buttons which I thought turned out so cute. I certainly need to clean the photograph of my little guy's fingerprints as he loves to look at his picture.
